1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Classora ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform. If you are using Classora on behalf of an institution, you represent that you have the authority to bind that institution to these terms.

2. Description of Service

Classora is a classroom management platform that provides tools for class creation, assignments, grading, communication, and analytics. The Platform is designed for teachers, students, and educational institutions.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. User Roles

Classora supports the following user roles, each with specific permissions:

  • Students — can join classes, view materials, submit assignments, and participate in chat. Student accounts are free on all plans.
  • Teachers — can create and manage classes, post assignments, grade submissions, and communicate with students.
  • Institution Admins — can manage institution settings, oversee classes, and manage users within their institution.
  • Platform Admins — manage the overall platform, institutions, and system settings.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload content that is offensive, harmful, or infringes on others' rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or other users' accounts
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's functionality
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Platform
  • Impersonate another person or entity

6. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of any content you upload to Classora (assignments, materials, messages, etc.). By uploading content, you grant Classora a limited license to store, display, and transmit that content as necessary to provide the service. We do not claim ownership of your educational content.

7. Pricing and Payments

Classora offers free and paid plans for institutions and teachers. Student access is always free. Pricing details are available on our pricing page. We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice. Paid plans are billed according to the selected billing cycle.

8. Service Availability

Classora is currently in beta. We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Classora shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using Classora at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. You may request export of your data before account deletion.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification.
